Creating a Haven of Hope: The Heart of Sand Springs Children’s Home

The Sand Springs Children’s Home offers sanctuary to up to twenty children across two family-style cottages. Each co-ed cottage, accommodating ten children, provides a secure haven for those who have faced turbulent early lives. Fostering an atmosphere of love and support, we strive to aid children in overcoming the trauma of abuse and neglect. Here, sadness transforms into hope, guiding our young residents toward healthier relationships and brighter futures.

"We must create opportunities for the next generation, ensuring a brighter future for all."

OUR PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Nurturing Growth & Resilience at Sand Springs Home

At Sand Springs Home, children are nurtured by dedicated houseparent couples who offer guidance and supervision in a supportive environment. Our staff, trained as residential child care professionals, blend expertise with empathy and fairness.

Houseparents focus on equipping children with essential life skills and fostering healthy family dynamics as they journey toward adulthood. Children attend school and engage in diverse extracurricular activities, where we encourage the development of each child's unique talents and abilities.

Each child receives personalized care through an individualized plan. Counseling services, available both on campus and in the community, support their emotional well-being. Our Social Worker coordinates comprehensive services for the child and their family, including referrals for family therapy from local counselors and agencies.

Foster Care Reality

Understanding the realities faced by children and youth in foster care is crucial for fostering empathy and support. By gaining insight into their journeys, we can better advocate for their well-being and contribute to creating a supportive community that champions their resilience and potential.
